We had a chance to visit family in Portland before the Christmas holiday and Jackson had his first ever candy making experience with uncle Steve! He was a great helper, and although he did not want to lick the bowl or the spoon (and yes, he is my child...) he was thrilled to discover that uncle Steve had some chocolate chips in his bags of candy making ingredients.
