Happy 4th of July!
This morning we headed up to Brighton to see if we could beat the rain and get in a short hike. Instead, we checked out the Brighton parade, and Jackson was fascinated by all the floats and children on scooters, 4 wheelers, bicycles, tricycles, and in wagons. It was great, and Jackson also got to spend some time getting used to his backpack, which he loved!
Headed to Krista and Tony's for a bbq tonight, and Jackson had a great time playing with Ava's toys and eating watermelon and berries. He was in bed long before the fireworks started, but Lonnie and I managed to catch them from the corner of our backyard. We were able to see most of the valley, albeit from a distance, and it was beautiful!
