We had a great day today! Started out bright and early, and we woke Jackson up at 7 AM to get on the road to the annual "Dash for Donation", the transplant 5K we have participated in annually since at least 2000. He didn't appreciate being woken up, nor was he too fond of being "trapped" in the Chariot for the 45+ minutes it took to walk the 5K at the Sugarhouse Park. We had a great turnout from the office, and most of the girls and Mike showed up for the event. Jackson's name was drawn for a prize, and he won 2 swimming passes! We are going to ask Ava's parents for their permission, and we will probably take Ava swimming with us soon. Jackson's first "real" date!
After the race was the annual dutch oven picnic, which was delicious as always. Jackson was a fan of the peach cobbler, as I am! I expected nothing less! After all the activity, Jackson got a great 2 hour nap, and then it was back outside for a few hours of playing and watching the neighborhood kids and his daddy on the skateboard.
Then off to dinner with friends, where Jackson enjoyed the show at Bonsai, and LOVED the fried rice!
