Pumpkin Carving 101

I know it wasn't even October yet (on Friday, September 30), but little man has been chomping at the bit to carve pumpkins for the last several weeks. I realize these pumpkins won't last until Halloween, but that's just how little man wants it to be, because that means we get to carve pumpkins several more times over the next month.

A kiss for good luck from his daddy, and they were off! Carving the first pumpkins of the year! Little man spread newspapers out all over the driveway (literally), and then couldn't wait until the top of his pumpkin came off so he could scoop out the seeds. That's still his favorite part! He carved two tonight, but that was just a warm up. Next week all his cousins are going to come carve pumpkins after we have family pics taken at Wheeler Farm, and Jackson can't wait!
