A lot has happened since our last posting! Jackson had his 8 week appointment on Tuesday (but was almost 10 weeks at the time), and weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs. 14 ozs.!!! Our little chunk just keeps getting bigger, and cuter everyday! He received 4 vaccinations, one orally and 3 shots, and slept like a champ after! He now smiles regularly and even laughs on occasion, when something is funny enough for him to expend the energy. I celebrated my 32nd birthday last week, and my mom had dinner at her house when we returned from Portland. See Jackson with Uncle Jason above. This weekend was also Chloe Hardman's birthday party, who turned 2 on August 3. Unfortunately, Chloe's brother Kaio was in the hospital with a ruptured appendix, so the party was a week late. Chloe had a farm party complete with hay bales, bandanas, and a Charlotte's Web cake! She got a kitchen for her birthday, and everyone had a great time at the party. Rach and Bryan also can't believe how big Jackson is, and Bry is starting to question the paternity as a result!!! He's not yours Bry, sorry!!!
Jackson has been doing great with bedtime, and typically falls asleep between 10:30 and 11, and only wakes up once during the night. We did have a difficult weekend as he decided that naps were "optional" and had a 16 hour awake period yesterday that was PAINFUL for all involved. He's doing great again today, and mom watched Jackson for a few hours this morning so I could get a MUCH needed massage, while Lonnie worked on the yard and removing all the bushes and brush he cut away from the house. Thank you mom for ALL your help with Jackson, it means the world to me!
Friday we met with the director of First Baptist Daycare, and started working on the paperwork for Jackson's start date in September. I will go back to work four days a week for the month of September, and will be back full time by October. The summer went by fast, and it's hard to believe our little man is almost 3 months old! Only two more weeks and we will be traveling to Sacramento to celebrate Peyton's first birthday, I can't believe she's already a year old!!!
