Jackson is continuing to grow bigger every day, and can now hold up his head completely on his own, and is even able to sit up pretty consistently with a little bit of help. He is MUCH more interactive than ever before, and he is a little social butterfly like his mom. He likes to face out when in the Bjorn or being held, as he loves to see the world, and he always illicits smiles or kisses from random women, which makes his dad proud! I think Jackson may be teething, as the drooling has significantly increased over the past few days, and he has now decided that he does enjoy biting on a pacifier, along with his bottle nipple, and anything else he can get in his mouth.....
Lonnie and I had the opportunity to get out for a motorcycle ride today, and chose to do the scenic Alpine Loop. The weather was perfect, and we decided to stop at Sundance for a bite to eat, and ran into our good friends Joey and Andrea! It was a nice surprise, and we ended up sharing their table for a delicious brunch and great company. Jackson spent the afternoon with Deana, and took a very unusual 4 1/2 hour nap. More proof that he's just not feeling himself these days, and I would also chock this up to teething. Foxes tend to get teeth VERY late, so even though the teething may have begun, my family is convinced the tooth may not break through until sometime after Christmas. I'll have to check with Grandma Smith to see when Lonnie and Greta got teeth, and Jackson will likely be somewhere right in between. We had dinner at my mom's house tonight to celebrate Grandpa Mower's birthday. I forgot to bring the camera, but as usual, Jackson was a show off and loves to smile for his grandma and grandpa. He even gave Grandpa Mower a few chuckles, just because it was his birthday celebration.
